How can I donate 1% of my personal income tax?
You can designate 1% of your personal income tax to support the activities of the Foundation for the Development of the Heim Pál Children's Hospital without any loss to your income, until May 20, 2020.
In writing, you can submit your 1% designation by completing the 19EGYSZA declaration form and submitting it to your employer in a sealed envelope, no later than May 10, 2020. (Take care to sign the envelope over its sealed flap!) Although employers are no longer eligible to complete tax assessments on behalf of their employees, they are still enabled to collect and submit 1% designations
What happens if I don’t donate my 1%?
If the taxpayer does not designate their 1% the amount is paid into the Hungarian State Treasury as tax.
What happens if I do donate my 1%?
The National Tax and Customs Administration of Hungary (NTCA) collects and consolidates all valid 1% designations, then transfers the donated amounts to each non-profit organisation. Taxpayer donations count double! You can donate 1% of your personal income tax twice: once to a non-profit organisation, and once more to a church or the state’s budgetary appropriation, thus donating 1+1%.
What am I donating and what does the Foundation receive?
Donating 1% of your income tax will cost you nothing, we ask for only 2 minutes of your time to complete the declaration form. Those 2 minutes mean a lot to us: healing, health and joy!
How much money do we manage?
Each year we eagerly await the National Tax and Customs Administration’s (NTCA) notification to see the extent to which taxpayers support the work of the Foundation. In 2019, we again received good news informing us that we received 166 million HUF in donations.
First and foremost, we are pleased that so many people are aware of, and acknowledge, all the work that we do for the patients of Pál Heim Children’s Hospital.
Second, we are happy that so many are satisfied with the hospital’s quality of nursing care. Much of the support we receive is a direct result of the good work of the hospital.
Third, we are glad we can continue to support the hospital’s management team with such a large sum. It is used in the hospital’s restructuring; namely, the renovation and development of patient care units and the procurement of new instruments.
It is also gratifying that we have been leading, in first place, the non-governmental organisation rankings list for years.
We thank you for your support and promise that donations received will continue to be put to good use in the treatment of sick children.
